The hoodoos of Bryce Canyon
We did "The Best 3-Mile Hike in the World," according to our brochures of the park. It was very beautiful! This was Day 4 of hiking for the boys and they were not quite as compliant on this hike. There was lots of crying and fit throwing. I finally got them to keep hiking by telling them the story of the Tortoise and Hare over and over again in a very exciting way. We also sang lots of trail songs to take their mind off of the hike. It was hot and the sun was really working off the rocks to cook us! :)
One of several tunnels on the trails through the hoodoos.
This was the Queen's Garden, named because of the resemblance this hoodoo takes to a statue of Queen Victoria in London. Several of the other hoodoos look like her court around her.
See the queen on the top of this hoodoo?
These rocks formed bridges! 2 are in this picture, do you see them?
This was right before Owen fell off and got a big fat bloody lip.
Oh my! Bryce Village just outside of the park had a really cute shopping center and a great playground where we spent a few hours!
