Rental House

At long last....pictures of our new rental house. Inside pictures to come later.

It is a side-by-side duplex. The neighbors are an 80 year old couple who are very nice.

Check out our little shed and the roses!

There are many, many beautiful flowers around our yard!

Spec House

I haven't posted pictures of the spec house lately, so here it is. Trusses were delivered on Thursday, and they got a few of them up. This is a view of the back of the house...the side that faces the lake.

This is from the access road. Garage on the right, front door in the center.

The lake view from the south side of the house.

This is from the upper road. Facing north.

Great room above and bedroom below.

There were some pretty high winds this weekend. Fortunately, everything is still standing!

Memorial Day Weekend

Tristan helped me in the laundry room at Preps on Saturday.

We basked in the sun.

And tried out the swingset.

Fun with Tristan

Trying out these ski goggles!

Whee! An airplane ride!

Drooling on my Daddy's head!

Fresh out of the tub. Jason and I are really enjoying Tristan at this age. He is so interactive and enjoys playing and games.

Boating Season

Friday we went out on the lake for the first time this year. We went with Shawn and DeAnne and their kids. Here I am with an armful of boys.

Jason went waterskiing in 60 degree water! BRRR! Makes us miss Lake Mead!

AWWW!! He loves me!! Well, when he's hungry anyway...

Wake-up call!

The Many Expressions of Tristan

I just discovered my toes!

Jason took me to the Hungry Belly for dinner on Monday. Tristan found the ceiling fan, so he was entertained the whole time we were there!

Mother's Day

Our first Mother's Day! This is Ivonna and Emily Long. She is a month older than Tristan.

Tristan and Emily. Notice how he has his hand on her back! :)

A day in the life...

Daddy told me if I put my fingers in my mouth like this...and blow really hard, I can whistle!

I take my binky out of my mouth and hold onto it so I can put my fingers in.

My first day of convention preps!

I love bath time!!

I'm sorry that I have not updated in awhile. Jason, Tristan, and I have spent the past week moving into a new house. We are only about a mile from our last rental, but we have a little more space. Jason and I have been spending our spare time cleaning, unpacking, repacking, etc. Preps started on Saturday here, so we helped get ready for convention, too. I have lots of pictures that I would like to put up once our computer is up and running again. Tristan rolled over yesterday for the first time! He was at Carolyn's for the day, and he went from his tummy to his back! Jason and I spent a good portion of the evening trying to get him to show us his new trick, but he just smiled and cooed at us. Last night he also grabbed his toes for the first time. What an interesting discovery! He is lifting himself up quite a bit when he is on his tummy. He just looks around studying everything he sees.

I have made the decision to stay at home with Tristan instead of going back to work in the fall. I am very excited about this decision. We have been debating whether or not we can pull it off, but we are going to go for it. I had two interviews lined up for fall teaching jobs, and I canceled both of them. I hope that I didn't burn any bridges for the future, but the opportunity to stay home with Tristan can't be passed up. So, now I only have 19 more days for a loooong time!

Jason and his brother Shawn have been framing the spec house. They have all the walls framed in now. Today they were going to start on the roof. (I think that is the next step.) Everything is going well for us here in Chelan. We are looking forward to heading to Minnesota the end of June for Kale's wedding!! Take care, and look for pictures soon!

Beautiful Sunday Afternoon

We spent Sunday afternoon with Paul and Patty Doede. Tristan loves to hang out with his "Grandpa and Grandma". :)
