A Talk With Tristan

Mommy: Tristan come and look at the birds in the bird bath!
Tristan: Huh?
M: There are birds in the bird bath, come and look!
T: Huh?
M: Remember when we put water in the bird bath? There are birds in it!
T: Huh?
M: Nevermind, they flew away.
T: Huh?
M: Nevermind.
T: Oh, ok!
M: Argh!

Mommy: Which bowl do you want your cereal in, the blue one or the red one?
Tristan: The red one!
(Mommy pouring cereal in the red bowl.)
Tristan: Is that my bowl?
Mommy: Yep, this is your bowl.
Tristan: No, not your bowl, my bowl!
Mommy: Right, it's your bowl.
Tristan: No, my bowl!!
Mommy: Ok, my bowl.
Tristan: NOOOOOO, MY BOWL!!
Mommy: Argh!

Weekend in Sequim

We got to Sequim and went outside to feed BeeBop and the goats. Tristan put on some of the daycare kids' clothes. It was quite an outfit!

Wade had on a pair of boats that were very stiff. We were cracking up watching him try to walk in them.

Leah and Wade throwing oats to BeeBop and Marigold.

The boys loved playing in Grandpa and Grandma's yard.

On Saturday we drove out to Forks to see Jeff and Rebekah's new bundle. Here is Wyatt Grant! Yes, I know, it looks like I grew a set of antlers in this picture.

Tristan said, "I like him!" Time for another one? haha

Beautiful Mommy

Jeff and Rebekah have a beautiful house!

After we stopped at their house, we went out to Rialto Beach. It was a very windy day, so the waves in the ocean were huge!!! It made for some very cool pictures!

On our way back we stopped in Port Angeles to visit Grandpa Sanderson.

Sunday we went to visit Grandpa Kitchen. This is his house with his little pond.

Tristan and Caleb could have spent hours throwing rocks into the pond.

Tristan doing a dance in Grandma's socks.
Notice at the end he says, "I see, Sayah." He's been calling me Sarah ever since I worked at the daycare for a week and a half, and he got so used to hearing the daycare kids calling me Sarah.
We took the ferry across the Puget Sound on the way home. While we were in the ferry line, we walked down to the water to look at some of the boats.

There were lots of starfish in the water. Sorry about the horrible picture!

On the ferry.

Hugs!

Hugs for Daddy when he gets home from work!

Ducks, Ducks, and More Ducks

After storytime on Wednesday we went down to feed the ducks and have a picnic lunch. We think we might make it a weekly event! Caleb and Tristan enjoy their sandwiches

Patricia was staying in Chelan, so she joined us too!

Hi, Ducks!

Wenatchee Fun

Ben and Clara had several families over for a potluck after meeting last week Sunday. Here are Wade and Brielle

Lots of kids!! The boys outnumber the girls. Ben and Clara are expecting girl #3, and Josh and Trese found out that they will be having a boy. So, the Wenatchee field will have a few more!

Welcome Baby Boy!

Congratulations Jeff, Rebekah, and Chloe on the new addition to your family!!! Their precious baby boy was born this morning at 3:05 am. He was 8 lbs 12 oz and 21 inches long. He was about a week overdue, so he had a little extra time to grow!! As of right now, he doesn't have a name, just Baby Boy Basinger! I totally understand the need to sleep and rest up before picking out a name! Many of you had to wait to find out little Wade's name too! We hope to see this little bundle soon (maybe this weekend)? :)

Feeding the Ducks

Another late post: A couple of weeks ago we had a beautiful sweatshirt day. The boys and I went down to feed the ducks.

At one point we had 39 ducks around us! Tristan had fun throwing them bread.

Wade had fun eating the bread! Save some for the ducks!

This one kept on sneaking up behind Tristan, sticking his neck out, and grabbing crumbs that Tristan dropped.

This one was very brave and entered our little circle!

Then the next day it snowed... a lot....but now I think we're done with all the white fluffy stuff. The last little patch on the shady side of the house is finally gone!

Trip to Montana

I told you that I was behind on my blogging, so I am going to do a little catch-up. A few weekends ago, we went to Thompson Falls, MT to see our good friends Rob and Mandy.

Early morning horse feeding

We left the 50 degree WA weather and went to MT where it snowed all day Saturday. At least we got some sledding time!
