Pre-Wedding Fun

A couple of pictures from before we left.  Owen "fixing" the coffee table.

Owen reads Finn a story.

We got to SC Wednesday morning and made our way down to Hilton Head Island Wed. afternoon.  Garrett had remodeled this condo, and as a wedding gift, they let Garrett use it for his guests during the wedding week.  It was beautiful and Garrett did a really nice job on it!  This was our room.

Our bathroom!

The kitchen that was always bustling!

Mom and Dad brought frozen custard down from Wisconsin!  It was delicious!

The condo owners where we were staying have several children, so their condo was stocked with toys and necessary kid items.  This wagon was put to really good use!!  You will see it over and over in these pictures!  Ready for the beach!

The weather was beautiful while we were there!  Our 2 beach days we had 80 degree weather, and the next 2 days was mid-70s, so it was wonderful!  We all got some sun!  :)  The water was chilly (about like Lake Chelan in June) but totally bearable for boogie boarding!  Friday especially the wind picked up and Jason and I were able to ride a few waves!

Beautiful beaches

Wade needed a picture of himself eating a burger while wearing his burger shirt!  Thursday we spent most of the day at the beach.  The whole wedding crew had burgers in the picnic area for dinner.

The wagon was used for hauling groceries up to the 3rd floor to where our condo was.  It was also used for bringing items down for the picnic.  And for playing in of course!

The young people's table.

Getting a ride to the beach!  The resort is on one end of this boardwalk and the beach is on the other!  Friday we spent doing a little wedding shopping and then on the beach.  After a dinner of pizza, we returned to the beach for the rehearsal.  I didn't have my camera at the rehearsal, but there were big thunderstorm clouds rolling in and the sky looked pretty cool!  I borrowed this picture from Angie.

Bader Boy Turns 4!

My boys are not artists.  They have no interest in art except for the occasional finger painting, but even then their "pallet" and their "picture" look exactly the same!   Big brown smears!  :)  So imagine my surprise when Wade came up to me holding this!!!  "This is me with my owie ear," he told me.  Wade had an ear infection that oozed for a week.  You can see it in the picture!

How Wade writes him name at the moment.

We are hamster sitting.  (For Owen that is quite literal!)  :)  A friend needed someone to watch their hamster for 9 days, and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to give the boys pet experience without actually having to own one!  Needless to say, the hamster, Star, is getting lots of attention...more than it would ever want/need!  You can tell my Owen's face that he is enjoying it way too much!

We went to Oroville for a couple of days.  Lots of books were read!  :)

Washing the windows with scarves.

Tristan was a big boy and helped me push the younger ones on the swings!

This is what we found when we got back from Oroville!  Oops!  He escaped from his cage!  Fortunately the cage was on our island, so there was nowhere for him to go and nothing for him to chew through...except a small bag of chocolates, which he helped himself to!  Judging by the amount of "potty" on the island I'm guessing he must have escaped right after we left!

My birthday Bader Boy and his Banana Bread Breakfast!

He requested dinosaurs again this year...

A pudding cake made a good earthy background for the dinosaur display!

Henry and his mom made Wade this awesome cape and mask set!  Super Wade!

An electric scooter!

4 Years Old!

Cute burger shirt and Geek glasses from guess who......Auntie Carebear!  :)

A few videos for your enjoyment.  This first one is from when Wade was 17 months old.  It makes me laugh and laugh.  In honor of his birthday, here it is...

Owen's 2nd Birthday

I showed Owen a bunch of pictures of cake possibilities on the computer, and when he saw a Mickey Mouse cake his eyes lit up and he started chanting, "Mouse, Mouse!".  I wasn't quite motivated enough to do an all out Mouse cake, but these cupcakes worked just fine.

Owen trying to hold up two fingers.  :)

That's better! :)

Me two!  (He says "me too" a lot, but now he can also say "me two".  :)

He blew those candles out in one big gust!

And then promptly bit into the Junior Mint that was Mickey's head.  Not so sure about that mint!

Enough attention and pictures will still bring a smile though! :)

What is under the tablecloth?  A new bike!  And a remote control police car and a fire truck that sings and dances!

The kids (under Ashlyn's direction) put on a play for us.  It was quite entertaining!
We had a good weekend in Sequim.  The trip over was tainted by a bad set of tires that caused us to slide off the road more than once!  But a brand-new set for the way back eased our mind.
