Eskimo Kisses

Tristan was very busy this past week. Along with getting 2 new teeth (as mentioned previously), he also learned some new tricks! The first thing he learned is how to give Eskimo Kisses. You can watch Tristan giving his daddy some in this first video. Tristan also learned how to roll a ball...kind of. You can watch him do this in the second video. The last thing that he learned is how to wave. I haven't got it on video yet, because he doesn't always do it at the appropriate time. Yesterday he was waving to his "friend" in the mirror! It was so cute!!

Finally!

Tristan has had one really cute tooth for almost 3 months! Saturday 2 more teeth broke the surface, so now he has 3! I'm going to miss his 1 tooth grin, but I'm sure I'll like the 3 teeth jack-o-lantern look just as well. :)

Tristan ate a muffin on our bed...what a mess!

Lake Roosevelt

We traveled to Lake Roosevelt this weekend for the holiday.

All the Sandersons...except Lisa and Eric

My turn to make dinner.

A NEW ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY

Yes, it is true. Jason and I are expecting another baby. I'm actually 15 weeks along, so I apologize for not telling you all sooner! We've had so many close friends announce their pregnancies, we didn't want to step on their toes! I am due February 26. This is the same week that Kevin and Jessica Shepherd and Kevin and Julieanne Precht are due, so between the three of us, one of us should have a leap year baby!!! We are very, very excited. Well, I can't say that Tristan is excited, because he doesn't really get it yet....and he probably won't get it until he has to compete for attention. If you do the math, Tristan and his little brother or sister will be 14 months apart. I have an ultrasound tomorrow, so I will post pictures then!

Guess Who?

I have been wanting to do this for a long time. I have baby pictures of Tristan, Jason, and I, and I tried to find some that looked pretty similar to each other. They are mostly in groups of two pictures that look sort of alike. You have to try to guess who is who. I know...the outfits and styles have changed quite a bit from when we were young, so this probably won't be too hard, but it is still kind of cool to see how much Jason and I looked like Tristan! To get you started, the first picture is of Tristan...see if you can guess the rest, and then look below it to find the answer.

This is Jason with his big sister Carolyn.

There was a big debate over whether this one was Jason or Eric. By looking at the ages of the other people in the picture, we were able to determine that it is Jason. I obviously don't have any pictures of Tristan at this age, but I just had to include this picture because of Jason's hair and eyes! This is what Tristan will look like next year!!

OK, another one that is obviously Jason. What a cutie! This is how Tristan might look on his first day of Kindergarten.

The pink ruffles might have given this one away. I'm on the left, Jason's on the right, and....

This one's Tristan...all of us under our baby blankets.

Jason

Tristan. Those two are hard to tell the difference if you just look at the face...except Jason's was maybe a teeny bit chubbier.

Jason

Tristan...don't you love their smiles?

Tristan

Ok, yeah, this one's easy...should have covered up the bootie...and the pink dress....and the ruffles....but don't I look like Tristan?

What Happened To Our View?

Tristan playing in the park.

Tristan just finished his Elvis impersonation of "Heartbreak Hotel"

This is the view from our spec house last week....

This is our view this week...

The difference? Click here. A wildfire 35 miles up lake from us is burning over 3500 acres. We get all the smoke and haze. Ash is swirling in the air like snow!

Yesterday Jason thought it would be fun to share his lunch with Tristan. Tristan had a blast chewing on a cookie!

Mommy had a blast cleaning up the mess.

Tristan Update

We've had several busy weeks. I have a bunch of random pictures here in no particular order. This one is of Snoqualmie Falls. We stopped by when we were on our way to Seattle to pick up my parents.

Mom and Dad came out for a week. They spent a few days with us in Chelan, and then we all went to Duncan conv. for the rest of the week. We had a lot of fun!

Dad and I had a gruelling hike up the Chelan Butte. It was a beautiful view, though. It was very steep, which was rough on the way up, but way worse on the way down. We were in a controlled (and often uncontrolled) slide the whole way down. All of our energy was put into slowing ourselves down. That really strains some unique muscles that we felt for days!

Dad on the Butte.

Peek-A-Boo!

I think I mentioned before that Tristan is crawling. He has been for about a month, now. He goes everywhere! Just last week he pulled himself up to a standing position for the first time. Unfortunately, he pulled himself up on his Excersaucer, which shifts and moves. It slipped out from under him, so he was hanging sideways from it! First of many crashes I'm sure. Yesterday I came out of our room and he was standing up against a chair in the dining room.

We went to Salmon La Sac. We were maybe going to stay in a hotel for our anniversary, but then ended up camping in the back of the car on the side of the road right by the river. We had a nice hike in the morning and a freezing cold swim in the river.

Mark, Karol, Leah, Teana, and even Julie came for a weekend! It was a lot of fun. We went up to Stehekin on Saturday in Shawn and DeAnne's boat.

Tristan and his Grandpa Lepak.
