Stehekin Boat Docks

Fall colors on the one street through Stehekin. Even though you can't get there by car, the residents have cars, that were brought up on a barge, that they use to get around town. We met a very nice woman at the boat dock, and she drove us all around and gave us a little tour!

The town of Manson from the lake. This is the town right next to Chelan where we own property that we will someday like to live on! Isn't it cute????

This is our rental house. You thought I was pregnant! Hahaha

When I get home, I'll fix this picture, sorry. Almost 31 weeks!

Stehekin

Rainbow Falls in Stehekin

Jason told me he wouldn't shave until he got a deer. Once hunting season ended and he was deerless, I got pretty nervous! I was finally able to convince him that I was his dear and he shaved. :) But, as you can see, he was a little bitter about it! :)

Stehekin is a very small town at the very tip of Lake Chelan. It is about 40 miles up the lake from Chelan. There are no roads leading into the town, so you can only get there by boat or float plane. On Sat. we took the boat up and spent the day there! It was beautiful!!!! This is coming into Stehekin on the boat.

The boat ride was a bit cold, especially in the back where the wind chill got us!

The last one room school house! There are 11 students this year K-8. What a fun place to work!

A View from the Bus

I decided to show you a few of the sights that I get to see everyday! This is a cute little church in Chelan.

A cloudy day view of the Chelan Dam from the bridge.

Beautiful fall colors along the lake!

Downtown Chelan. There are lots of little shops and there are some cute harvest decorations.

This is where you can find me everyday! Icicle River Middle School. My room is in the upper left corner, but it faces the hill. :)

Packer Fans

We got all decked out in our Packer gear to go and watch them lose on Monday! :( Boohoo! Maybe this week! :)
We are living in the rental house now. I will post a few pictures of our new place! I had my first prenatal appointment today since leaving Las Vegas. It was really good to see how much weight I've gained! 13 lbs! Jenny Craig's worst nightmare! :) I got to hear the heartbeat again..140 bpm...and I had some more blood drawn. I will get a shot next week. Yippee!

6 months?!?!

Wow, time sure flies! I will reach the 6 month point this weekend! It's hard to believe!

The baby looks like a little torpedo! So far more people think that it is going to be a girl than a boy. What do you think? I have no idea, so I just keep my mouth closed. Any baby name ideas?

Life Updates

This is the loft of our rental house. This is where Jason and I will be living. The loft has a couple of closets and a big open area that will be our bedroom. When the baby comes, it will be here with us. There are two bedrooms on the main floor where Shawn, DeAnne, and their 3 children will sleep. There is only one bathroom, but our schedules will be different enough that everyone should get a turn! :) The living room is large and open with a 3-sided fireplace. I will put up more pictures as we move in...which should be any day now! :)

This is the outside of the rental house. It has those big beautiful windows in the 2-story living room. The patio is nice, too. It will be tight with 7 of us living there, but we are very pleased with the house and the price! :) More to come on the house once we are living there!

Shawn and DeAnne move in this weekend. We will be going to Seattle to help them move. I started taking the bus to work this week. I had figured that gas per day was $12 for my commute, plus miles on the car...and that was getting 38 mpg!! The trip was a little over an hour. On the bus, I only pay $2 per day and it takes me an hour and a half one way. So, it takes more time, but I get to relax and read a book on the way!

The baby is doing well and getting big! I am just reaching the 6 month mark. The past few days I have woken up with my stomach muscles hurting. I think it is because my belly is getting big enough to fall to one side when I'm sleeping and it strains the opposite side. Weird feelings! The baby is still very active. Hopefully I'll be getting an ultrasound in the next couple of weeks so we can see what this little guy or gal looks like!

Jason has been busy getting things all organized. Our LLC will soon become official, so you can start recommending Sanderson Brothers Construction to everyone you see. :) I can't think of much else that is exciting in our life. Please leave me a comment or send an email so I can keep track of you! :)

Shallow Belly-Button Syndrome

We went to the Puyallup Fair this past weekend. Here are my niece and nephews ready for the rodeo!

I'm not sure that I'm fooling anyone anymore. My belly is kind of "out there". I have compiled a list of things that affect the size of my belly.

1. The time of day...early morning is much smaller than in the evening.

2. When my last meal was.

3. Whether or not I'm applying for a job...it's amazing how small it can get!!

4. If I want some sympathy...I can really stick it out there!

5. If there are things like groceries to be carried into the house...I don't think that I'm supposed to be lifting those heavy, heavy bags!! :)

My New Job!

I'm sorry that I haven't let very many people know what has been happening with us! We have lots of news and some new pictures that I will try to get up soon. At the last minute before school started, I got an email saying that there was an immediate opening in a middle school for a teacher. I was planning on just subbing, because I hadn't found a job yet for this school year. I applied and 2 days later I got a 7th grade math teaching position! I was hired last week and just finished my first day of school! It has been a little crazy trying to get everything organized and ready, but somehow the first day happened, and it wasn't too tragic! :) The school is called Icicle River Middle School and it is in Leavenworth, Washington. That means I have to commute about an hour and 20 minutes one-way. Yikes!! It is a beautiful drive, though, and so far I've enjoyed it. I really like the school and the other teachers. They've been very supportive! This past weekend we went camping at Lake Roosevelt. There were about 25 in our group, and we had a lot of fun relaxing, boating, etc. One of the campers is my new student! His family is some of the friends here! My belly is still growing and I'll try to get another picture up soon. Please leave me a comment and let me know how you are doing! Otherwise email me at sesanderson001@hotmail.com!!

One Week Later.......Lot's Of Changes!

I just had to include this picture. I put on the same outfit that I wore last week to show you the change in my belly! Everyone has been commenting how much bigger I've gotten in just one week! I have really been feeling the baby move the past week. Jason was even able to feel a few kicks! It is very exciting and much more realistic now that we can see and feel the little guy or gal!

We went to Seattle for the day and saw Pike Place Market, the space needle, etc.

At least these waders fit me!!

We have spent some time on Lake Tapps. This is Cody hanging out in the tube

We went wading in the Straits of Juan de Fuca. We were searching for crab, but (fortunately) we didn't find any. :)

We Made It to Montana....

There, mom, you can see my belly! I'll try to get you a sideview soon.
My turn: Not quite as confident and in a skirt!
I never knew that my husband knows a lot about horses. He impressed us by hopping on Whisper bare-back.
Look who I got to see! Brittney Wahlin!!
Robbie and Mandy Buckingham were our hosts for the weekend. They have a beautiful home in Livingston, MT. View the Montana album in Our Pictures for more!

Moving Update

We are sort of finalizing our move. We probably won't know where exactly we are going until we are on the road, but we are hoping that things will just work out for us. :) Saturday is when we are planning on leaving. We will have our two vehicles stuffed full of the necessities, and Eric might drive up with a U-Haul trailer in a few weeks with our remaining things. We are hoping to be at Olympia 1 and Milltown 2. After all, we are homeless and what better place to be than convention!! I'm still trying to decide what to do about a job. I am leaning towards a long-term sub position that I can be done with when our baby comes! It is hard to leave Las Vegas and all of the friends here, but we know that it will be an adventure. You have all been such wonderful friends and a great encouragement to Jason and I. Please know that you have a place in Washington to visit! We would love to return some of the hospitality that we have received from all of you. We love you and will miss you!!

We are moving!

Caleb is a boy, despite the headband, and loves to smile at 7 months.

Ashlyn is 4 1/2!

I got to see my nephews and niece. This is Cody (2) wearing my shoes!

We are going to be moving to Chelan, Washington. We will move the first weekend in August. This is the view from the property that we bought to live on. It is so beautiful there! I have mixed feelings about moving. I am excited for a new adventure, but I am very sad to leave my home and my friends. You all have been so wonderful to Jason and I! I will truly miss you!

15 weeks!

Well, we finally have a due date! I am about 15 weeks along and am due on January 2. Jason is hoping it comes early for tax reasons. :) We had an ultrasound today and got to see our baby's legs and arms. We saw him/her moving its mouth and it even appeared to put its hand in its mouth! Jason was a little surprised that it looked like a skeleton. Actually, he referred to it as a furby. Yikes! We are very excited!! :)

A little "bump"! :)
