Schmidt Custom Floors

We went to visit my dad at work.  We brought lunch.  Schmidt Flooring has the most beautiful showroom ever!!!

After lunch we left, but Tristan stayed for the rest of the day to work with Grandpa!  :)

The Reason We Were There

We went to fix my parents basement walls that were cracking and shifting a little bit.  The boys loved helping even though it was raining most of the time.  This picture cracks me up.  Tristan is drinking his hot cocoa (just like his dad drinking coffee) and holding Owen's hand while discussing the project with Jason all in his Bob the Builder shirt and "work" pants.  :)

Owen could sit and ride in the excavator all day....oh wait...he did!!

The yard was a mess with all the rain/mud.

The plates with rods that extend into the basement to pull the wall back into place.

Brewer Game and Tailgating Party

When in WI, one must attend a Brewer game, complete with brats and beans on the grill!  :)  I was happy to oblige.

Amanda, Nikelle, and I

The boys tailgated literally by getting in out of the rain.

$4 ticket specials!

Good friends

The boys trying out Bernie's slide.  There were actually 4 home runs in this game so we got to watch Bernie Brewer slide down into his big mug of beer several times!  And fireworks too!  What fun!

Famous sausages....Polish won!!  Woohooo!!

Karli and I were noticing the difference between little girls who sit nicely and smile in the mitt, and little boys who climb all over the mitt!!

Sorry for the blurry picture, but I just had to post it.  This game was the sausage race and the kids had to pedal their sausage to the finish line.  You can see that Tristan had a real hard time reaching the pedals while still getting leverage off of the back of the seat.  Wade realized he couldn't reach at all and immediately stood up and started pedaling with his hands!!

Meika, who's going to be a big sister soon!!

Bonfire with the Blakemans

Owen kept wanting a bite of my food and would lean over to me with his mouth wide open.

James, Michelle, Chad, and Bryce came over for a picnic dinner and bonfire.

Michelle and her adorable boys!

The guys talked "heavy equipment" most of the time.  :)

My chubby bunny

Roasting marshmallows

Owen loved holding the marshmallow stick.

S'mores!!!

Owen was sooo muddy!

Yes, those muddy hands did grab and eat that s'more.  A little dirt is good for you!  :)

Organ Piper Pizza/Sleepover

After we got to town, we met the Olson family and the White family at Organ Piper Pizza.  It is a restaurant with a huge pipe organ with all kinds of "extras" and a game room too!  Dale, Karli, Meika, and Baby ?

My buddy Jaime!

What fun!!

Wade requested "You Are My Sunshine"

Kevin, Jaime and the boys spent the night too!  The 6 boys enjoyed a sleepover.  Here's Gavyn and Wade

Aiden and Brennan.  Tristan slept on the top bunk and Owen in the crib.

Owen makes friends with Jaime!

Train Trip to WI

We had a great trip!  The boys spent their time eating, sleeping, reading, driving motorcycles and monster trucks, and watching the scenery zip past!

Beautiful Glacier Park has not seen spring yet!

On the way we saw quite a bit of flooding.  There were houses that were completely surrounded by water and cars, trucks, and even a school bus floating.  As we were looking out at the destruction, Tristan said, "It's just like Japan!" It wasn't near that bad, but funny he made the connection.

The trip home on the train was a little longer.  We were delayed by about 4 hours in Minot, ND.  After that we were off schedule, so we kept having to pull over and wait for other trains to pass the other direction.  We ended up being 16 hours behind!!!!  Yikes!  And then they told us that the train was terminating service in Spokane and that we would be bussed the rest of the way!  We didn't have anything pressing to get back for, so it wasn't a big deal, just longer than we would have liked.  We decided we needed to have a child's perspective.  They weren't bothered at all by the long delays. When we told them we were getting off the train and going to get on a bus, they cheered!!  Especially when we were each given a box dinner from Subway!  They thought it was the best day ever!!!  :)
