Family Reunion

The weekend my family was visiting, there was a reunion for the Kitchen side of the family. (Jason's mom's side) We all met in Stanwood at Randy and Amy's, because they just put on a beautiful new addition. Thanks so much for being such gracious hosts!

Snow!!! Tristan had a lot of fun throwing snowballs at me! He didn't want to aim at anyone else, only me. How do I get so lucky?

On the way back, we took a little longer route so that we could go over the North Cascades Highway. It is so beautiful! The road closes for the winter, so this was our last chance to make it over for this year. Here you can take a little hike to an overlook of Washington Pass.

We spent the afternoon in Leavenworth. My little Bavarian boys got some cute hats. Now all they need is a pair of lederhosen.

Family's Visit

We really enjoyed having mom, dad, Cammy, and Garrett visit us for a week. We rode the trolley.

Going for a walk. We had 85 degree weather the week before they came, but while they were here, we only hit the high 60s everyday.

We went up to the house that the guys are framing. Garrett and Dad worked with them a little bit.

We went out to one of the orchards that our friend Al runs. We watched some really fast pickers, and saw them loading the apples onto the big trucks. We also got to glean from the trees that had already been picked.

All I have to say is... I'm just glad that all of my Minnesota friends can finally buy that Favre jersey that they've ALWAYS wanted!!

As you can see, my 20 week tummy has changed over the pregnancies!

The Pea and the Pod

I am 20 weeks pregnant! Yippee!! Half-way! Almost time to break out those maternity clothes!! As you can see, I had my ultrasound this morning. Everything looks fine, we don't want to know if it is a boy or girl, and I didn't see anything in the ultrasound that would give it away.

Canoe Trip

On our way home from Canoe Trip #1 this summer, we drove right along side the Methow River. Jason has wanted to canoe that river ever since, so last weekend he and Eric braved it. The boys and I dropped them off and they canoed almost 20 miles down the river and through rapids. The boys and I stopped to meet up with them every so often to check on their progress. It was fun!

It wasn't very safe, so Tristan just went a short distance with them.

Waiting for them to come by, we decided to swim. Ok, so the water was FREEZING and we didn't really swim, but we did get a little wet.

Waiting at the end of the river. They ended up capsizing a few times and portaging a few times, but they enjoyed their trip. They saw lots of salmon and even a couple of beavers.

That weekend was the hydroplane races here in Chelan as well. We met up with Shawn and DeAnne's family, Rod and Carolyn's family, and Al and Rachel's family to watch for a couple of hours.
