Tristan is on his way to the airport for his first trip in an airplane. He is very excited!! 
Now he's on the plane and completely wiped out. He did a really good job on the plane. Fortunately his ears didn't hurt! Look how he has his hand tucked under his head! Cute! :)

I haven't taken any recent pictures of the house, so these will have to do. These were taken last week Wednesday. They had just gotten the concrete slabs poured. They currently have the basement pretty much framed in. I will try to get some more recent pictures soon.
We went to Jason's parents' house for the weekend. Eric was up visiting, so he got to meet Tristan.

Tristan has really enjoyed straightening out his legs. He stiffens them up and stands on our laps really well. Caleb has some cute boots, so we put them on Tristan. Jason stood him up against the couch and took a picture! It is amazing that he can keep his legs so straight and hold himself up! He's practicing balancing. :) Check out his pinkies! :)

Loren and Shanda Hansen came up from Las Vegas for the weekend. We met up with them and Josh and Trese Barnes for dinner at the Hungry Belly. Yummy!! 
Saturday we went up to Mission Ridge, and Jason tried snowboarding for the first time. He thinks that skiing is more fun, so he wasn't converted!

Tristan is a pretty smart boy. Here he is reading a history book. He's supposed to have a summary for me by 10:00. He has been smiling for about 2 weeks. I have not gotten any pictures or videos of it, because whenever I see a smile I just enjoy it rather than run for the camera. However, this weekend I was able to capture a few smiles on video. They are not the best ones, but it gives you a little sample.
This weekend we went to Montana with Jason's family to stay with the Buckinghams in Thompson Falls. It was a great way to spend our long weekend. This is our little family when we took a hike.

Jason and Shawn got the permits for the house on Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday and Thursday they dug the foundation. These pictures were taken on Friday when the concrete guys were there laying form. 
This is the foundation for the spec house that Sanderson Brothers Construction is building in a brand-new development called Granite Ridge. They are the first ones to break ground in the development.

Tristan always looks concerned! He is fitting very nicely in Newborn sized clothes now. Soon, he'll be moving on to the 0-3 month size! There's no stopping him now!

Brett Favre has announced that he will play again next season!! Yippee! It was a coincidence that today was NFL day at school in honor of the Super Bowl on Sunday. Fortunately, I didn't have to wear Colts gear...or, worse yet, Bears gear!! Here is one of my students and fellow Packer fan posing with The Man.
