Turkey Day 2010

Falcon's Crest Lodge is where we spent Thanksgiving weekend. It is by Mount Hood in OR.  This is the nice entry way with plenty of room for lots of ski and snow gear.

The boys bunk room where Tristan and his Uncle Eric slept.

Funny Notes

I wanted to share some things that have been going on with us.

*I was talking about snowmobiles with the boys.  (We have had quite a bit of snow the past few days, so we've been seeing them a little bit.)  Wade was being silly and started calling them chicos instead of snowmobiles.  Then, just today, Wade saw a snowmobile and asked me what it was.  I told him it was a snowmobile.  He got this big silly grin on his face and said, "No, mom, it's a CHICO!"  He was just trying to tease me.

*Tristan likes to go to work with Daddy.  He gets his "work" pants on and his "work" shoes on.  Then, he always gets a paper towel, folds it up, and puts it in his pocket in case his nose runs, just like Daddy.

*For some reason our clown (Wade) has been telling Owen over and over, "Don't eat my father."  Not sure where that came from...

*Did I tell you that I ordered some blog books?  You can go to blog2print.com and order your blog in the form of a book.  I just got mine and I really like them!

*We just finished our first official meal in our new house.  We had grilled tuna sandwiches.  Now we are about to spend our first night here.  You might be surprised!  You might say, "Wow, their house is done?"  Well, it's not really done...far from it.  If you were to stay at our house right now you would not have a door on your room or on the bathroom, for that matter!  You would also have to maneuver around the upper cabinets that still need to be installed and the boxes of light fixtures. Come and visit!!

Good Times!

Mom and Dad came to visit for only a couple of days, but we packed a lot into their visit.  I'll put up more pictures tomorrow.  We went to Red Robin before seeing the musical Oklahoma.

Daylight Savings

What daylight savings means to me:
(I know, a little late right?)

*Instead of my boys waking up at 6:15 am, they were up at 5:15 am.
*Instead of having 4 hours before meeting, we had 5.
*Instead of taking a bath the night before, we saved it for the morning to use up a little of those 5 hours.
*Instead of eating 2 breakfasts, the boys ate 3 before meeting.
*Their clocks are still off...Wade has been up at 5:30 everyday since, despite going to bed at his normal time.

Remember when fall daylight savings meant a whole extra hour of sleep?  I do...vaguely....

I also remember when I was working nights in college, daylight savings meant an 11 hour night instead of the usual 10 hours... NOT FUN!  We had a time sheet where we recorded what we had done every 15 minutes.  1:30 am....1:45 am.....and instead of 2:00am we had to write 1:00 am again!  How frustrating!

Someday I will again appreciate the extra slumber and relaxation that comes with falling back!

Before

Here are the before pictures!

I love how the camera flash made a twinkle in his eye!

This was during...not after!!

I love this picture.  No one is crying...yet...and they are all just having fun as brothers!

Wade's Turn...Kind of...

So, this post was supposed to have some before pictures of their recent haircut, but I could only upload one picture, because I supposedly ran out of space!  Is that possible?  Is the internet getting full?  Has anyone else experienced this problem?

We finally got around to putting some faces on our pumpkins....I love Wade's pumpkin's nose!!!
And here is the promised video of Wade spelling his name...kind of... :)

Flooring

Our outside flooring!  We have had some beautiful days!  Perfect for pouring concrete and painting the exterior of the house....if the painter would just make an appearance!

On days when I have been able to work on the house we have been putting down wood flooring.  We have worked 2 days on it, and have the upstairs just about finished.  Now for the downstairs!

Silly Boys

Cammy had brought this bow back for Tristan from when she was in Iraq.  We had put it away until he was a little more responsible.  The other day, we got him a dowel (arrow) and now he loves to shoot his "bayanarow"

Can't get enough of these grins.

This is how Wade naps at the new house.

This is how Owen spends time at the new house.
Tristan has been practicing for quite some time, but has been adding extra letters to his name.  I put it to this sing-song tune and he got it right away.  Wade almost has his mastered too, so I'll probably have a video of him next week.  :)
Owen likes to play with the dials on the work radio!
